KIRKLAND, Wash. – A career-high 16 points from
Madison Holly was not enough for the College of Idaho, as the Lady Yotes dropped a 67-46 decision at Northwest University at the NU Pavilion.
The host Eagles (6-10, 3-4 CCC) jumped out to a 24-4 lead after the first quarter and were never headed – making 54-percent of their first half field goal attempts.
C of I (1-11, 1-5) made a spirit rally spanning the third and fourth quarters – outscoring NU 24-5 over an eight minute stretch to cut a 39-point deficit to 64-44 – but could not get closer.
Holly made four of the Lady Yotes six 3-pointers on the night – as C of I hoisted a season-high 35 attempts from distance.
Jocelyn Cook-Cox had eight points and a career-high 10 rebounds, while
Sophia Jackson had six points and four rebounds and
Alyssa Case had six points, six rebounds and five steals.
Kalee Fowler led the Eagles with 17 points, with Miranda Langenhorst scoring 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting, adding seven rebounds. Mariah Stacona had nine points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists in the victory.
The Yotes return to action tomorrow, traveling to Evergreen for a 5:30 p.m. (PT) tip.
