Coyotes Blow Out Multnomah, 95-50

CALDWELL, Idaho – All 11 College of Idaho players in uniform had at least two points and a rebound, as the No. 8 ranked Coyotes dominated Multnomah University, 95-50, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Yotes (14-5, 8-1 CCC) won their fourth in a row and 13th game in 15 outings, making 15 3-point baskets in the rout.

A 25-foot triple from Ry Paulsen gave the Lions (4-14, 1-8) a 17-16 lead at the 10 minute mark of the first half – only to see C of I close the period on a 29-9 run to bust the game wide open. Roosevelt Adams hit three 3-pointers in the run, while Aziz Leeks added a pair of dunks in the flurry.

The Yotes would continue the onslaught in the second half, rattling off 12-straight points in a 20-3 run – with Keun Palu-Thompson scoring eight points in the surge and Adams ending the run with a 3-ball – to extend the lead to 69-34. Consecutive triples from Daniel Webster, followed by a long jumper and a trey from Gibson Berryhill closed a 21-4 C of I run that made it 90-46.

Leeks scored 18 points, on 9-of-11 shooting, and Adams drained six 3-pointers to account for his 18 points.  Palu-Thompson had 13 points; Gibson Berryhill had 11 points and six rebounds; Talon Pinckney had 11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists; and Dominic Hulsey grabbed a career-high seven rebounds.

Brett Blackstock scored 15 points and had seven rebounds for the Lions, with Ben Grandle scoring 11. MU was limited to 34-percent shooting from the field and watched as C of  I held a 48-29 edge on the glass.

The Coyotes hit the road next weekend for games at Northwest Christian and Corban – both live on 99.1-FM ESPN Boise.
