Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho men's soccer opened their season today with a 2-0 loss to Embry Riddle. The Yotes played a scoreless first half against the Eagles before allowing two goals midway through the second half.
During the first half, both teams put up six shots. However, the Eagles outshot the Yotes 12-5 during the second half and had a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Carter Perry and Bekir Cinac led the way for the Yotes, putting up three shots and one shot on goal a piece. Ahmet Huremovic followed with two shots, one on-goal while
Darion Green, Daniel Carmago and Guilherme Siqueira all posted one shot each.
Embry Riddle's David Bates put in the first goal of the game in the 73rd minute, assisted by Grant Rowe. Devin Ries had the second in the 77th minute, assisted by Nicholas Goldstein. The Eagles also picked up the only two yellow cards of the game.
The Yotes are back in action against Whitman on Tuesday, August 29 at 3 p.m. at Simplot Stadium.
