CALDWELL, Idaho – College of Idaho's home win streak snapped at 12 after falling to No. 24 ranked Corban in four sets (25-21, 17-25, 25-20, 25-20).
The 12th ranked Yotes leapt out to a quick lead (11-4) in the first set behind three blocks. The Warriors rallied back to tie the set at 17-17 before going on 8-4 run to cap off the victory.
Both teams battled to start the second set tied at 11-11. Fueled by three straight kills, the Lady Yotes pulled away with an 8-1 run and won the set 25-17.
The third set remained gridlocked at 9-9 before a kill by Adriana Aguayo put Corban ahead. The Warriors never looked back and secured a 25-20 victory.
A late run in the fourth set by the Yotes pushed the score to 16-15 but was not enough as Corban hung on to end the match and claim their seventh victory of the year.
Brenna Meehan led the game in kills with 19 while
Ashley Pagan added 13 kills of her own.
Alaina Slater and
Randi Sturtz recorded 10 kills each.
Jayde Folsom directed the Yotes' offense with a match leading 48 assists.
Kilee Lopez also led the match in digs with 21.
College of Idaho falls to 7-5 overall on the season with a 2-2 record in Cascade Conference action. The Yotes travel to Olympia, Washington to face Evergreen on Friday before visiting Northwest the next day.
