Yotes Hit 16 3-Pointers in 95-57 Win at Walla Walla

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Roosevelt Adams scored a season-high 19 points and Gibson Berryhill hit five first half 3-pointers, helping the College of Idaho cruise to a 95-57 victory at Walla Walla University inside Windemuth Court.

The Yotes (8-4, 1-1 CCC) rode the outside rhythm of Berryhill in a pair of first half runs – as the sophomore drained three consecutive treys in an 11-0 run to build an 18-7 lead. After Alec Calloway scored seven-straight points for the Wolves (1-7, 0-2) to put the hosts within 18-14, Berryhill added to additional triples in a 22-3 run that broke the game wide open.

Leading 44-23 at the break, C of I saw WWU cut the margin to 56-37 at the 12 minute mark of the second half – but Curtis Brever drained a triple and Adams added a 3-pointer and a 3-point play in a 10-0 run that put the game away.

Adams finished 7-of-11 from the field in the win, with Aziz Leeks adding 13 points and 12 rebounds and Brever scoring all 10 of his points in the second half.  The 16 3-pointers made in the game were a season high for the Yotes, with C of I logging a 47-27 rebounding edge.

Calloway scored 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting for the Wolves, who committed 21 turnovers in the loss.

C of I returns home on Friday night, hosting nationally-ranked Northwest Christian at 7:30 p.m.
