KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – For the second time in three matches, the College of Idaho defense pitched a shutout, only to see their offense fail to score, as the Lady Yotes and Oregon Tech played to a 0-0 draw to close out the regular season at the OIT Soccer Field.
Played in a rain storm, the Yotes (7-6-3, 3-5-3 CCC) mustered just two shots on goal for the afternoon – second half strikes from
Jamiece Yizar and
Maddie Brown, while C of I keeper
Brittany Houghton had to turn away six OIT attempts on frame to complete the clean sheet.
OIT (4-12-2, 2-7-2) held a 14-11 edge in total shots, including a shot on goal in each overtime period, while the teams each had two corner kicks.
Heads next to Springfield, Ore., for the Cascade Conference Championships, meeting top-seed Carroll College at 11 a.m. on Friday in the quarterfinals.
