PORTLAND, Ore. – Janessa Mast had 21 kills and 18 digs, including the final two kills to break a 15-all tie in Set 5, as Warner Pacific defeated the College of Idaho 16-25, 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 17-15 inside C.C. Perry Gym.
The win for the Knights (9-10, 7-9 CCC) marked their first victory over C of I since 1988 – ending a 38-match losing streak to the Yotes.
After falling behind two sets to one, the Lady Yotes (15-9, 10-6) pounded out 17 kills in Set 4 to force the winner-take-all run to 15. Seven ties would ensue in the finale, with a

Jackie van Vliet combo block giving C of I match point at 14-13. Mast would answer with a kill to even the score and following consecutive side outs, Mast slammed down back-to-back kills to end the marathon.
Brenna Meehan led the Lady Yotes with 22 kills and 11 digs, with
Ashley Pagan recording a career-high 18 kills.
Jayde Folsom had 34 assists and
Cheyan Coburn had 22 digs to highlight the C of I back row.
Janessa White had 18 kills and five blocks for WPC, with M'Kailah Redden notching 10 kills and six blocks in the victory. Setter Kealia Rosa led all players with 57 assists.
