LA GRANDE, Oregon – Brittany Houghton recorded a career high 13 saves and goals from Maddie Brown and Summer Jackson drew a tie on the road against Eastern Oregon on Saturday.
The Lady Yotes (6-5-1, 2-4-1 CCC) struck first in the 15th minute after Maddie Brown found the back of the net off of an assist from Allie Boyd. Her sixth goal of the season which is tied for the team lead with Jamiece Yizar.
The Mountaineers (7-4-3, 4-2-2 CCC) responded with a goal in the 26th minute by Veronica Sullivan and the score remained tied going into halftime.
The Yotes started the second half off quickly with a goal just 58 seconds in from Summer Jackson of an assist from Maddie Brown. The goal marked the 3rd of the season for Jackson.
Eastern Oregon answered back again in the 74th minute with a penalty kick from Alexandria Cuaresma.
The match went through both overtime periods with Eastern Oregon taking five shots to the Yotes' two but neither team was able to score the game-winning goal, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
The College of Idaho took 17 shots in the match, eight in the first half, and seven in the second. The Mountaineers fired 25 shots off, 15 on goal.
The Yotes return home for a match-up against Evergreen on Friday, October 21st; scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. MST.
