KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon - The Lady Yotes battled for a tough road conference win over Oregon Tech (25-16, 25-23, 25-27, 25-19) to improve their win streak to four matches.

The Yotes began the first match with three straight kills to jump out to 5-1 over the Owls. Kills by Alaina Slater and Ashley Pagan pushed the lead to 15-7.

Oregon Tech fought back to close the score to 18-13 before the Yotes captured five of the next six point to break out 23-14. The Yotes took the first set 25-16 after an attacking error on the Owls.

The College of Idaho took an early lead in the second set 8-4, capitalizing on attacking errors by Oregon Tech. However, neither team was able to take a sizeable advantage with both teams remaining gridlocked at 20-20.

Brenna Meehan slammed three straight kills as the Yotes clinched the second set 25-23.

Neither team gave any ground in the next set with the score tied at 14-14 a piece. The Owls gained the first advantage and pushed the Yotes to the edge 24-20. The Yotes rallied back to take a 25-24 lead on two kills and a service ace but would eventually drop the set 27-25.

The Yotes quickly fell behind in the fourth set 4-2Â but regained the lead (13-8) on a 10-3 run highlighted by kills from Pagan and Abbey Fenton.

Both sides traded points to 20-14 until the Owls closed the gap to 21-19. The Yotes responded with three straight kills and ended the match on an attack error by the Owls.

Fenton and Meehan led the Yotes in kills with 12 each with a match leading 29 assists coming from Jayde Folsom. Sydney Call added 20 assists of her own while Sturtz and Pagan tallied 11 and 10 kills respectively.

The Yotes as a team led the Owls in kills (57-37), assists (55-33), and aces (5-3).
The College of Idaho claimed their fourth straight win to improve to 12-6 overall and 7-3 in conference action. The Yotes return to the court on Friday at Corban before traveling to Northwest Christian the following day.
