LA GRANDE, Ore. – Caulin Bakalarski came off the bench to score a career-high 25 points, lifting Eastern Oregon to a 95-74 victory over the College of Idaho at Quinn Coliseum.

The Yotes (12-8, 7-4) led only once in the game – 2-0 – and trailed 26-16 with seven minutes remaining in the opening period. The visitors battled back, getting a lay-ups from
Aitor Zubizarreta and
Marck Coffin, and a floater inside the final 10 seconds from Zubizarreta, to knot the score at 38-38 at the break.
EOU used a 7-0 lead early in the second half to grab the lead for good. Leading 63-55, a dunk from Kalvin Johanson started a flurry, as Bakalarski drained two-straight long 3s and a Miles Loupe 15-footer gave the Mounties a 75-55 lead with six minutes to play.
Johanson had 19 points and nine rebounds, Case Rada scoring 17 points, with Kentrell Washington logging 13 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists – as EOU hit 51-percent of their field goal attempts.
Joey Nebeker led C of I with 18 points, with
Curtis Brever scoring all 15 of his points in the second half. Zubizarreta had 14 points and Coffin scoring 13 points with a team-high nine boards. The Yotes made just 32-percent of their field goals and were limited to a season-low six made 3-pointers.
The Coyotes return to action on Friday night, hosting Corban University at 7:30 p.m.
