LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon used a 24-2 run spanning both halves, as the No. 23 ranked Mountaineers cruised to a 82-51 victory inside Quinn Coliseum.
Jordan Klebaum scored a game-high 20 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Mountaineers (20-5, 12-2 CCC) extended their win streak to six.
Klebaum scored eight early points, part of a 16-2 EOU run to open the contest, but the Lady Yotes (6-17, 5-9) answered with a 14-4 surge of their own, getting six points each from Aleah Lowber and Brittany Wirth, to cut the margin to 22-18.
Leading 29-25 with four minutes left in the half, EOU scored the final 10 points of the frame, including a pull-up jumper and a 3-pointer from Airashay Rogers. The Mountaineers used a 12-point run early in the second half to extend the lead to 53-27 at the 14 minute mark of the second half.
Madeline Laan had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Mounties, with Maya Ah You coming off the bench to score 12. EOU held a 47-31 edge on the glass, including a 22-6 margin in second change points.
Wirth scored a season-high 16 points for the Lady Yotes, who dropped their fifth-straight game. Elisha Hensey had 10 points, six rebounds and five assists, with Kellie Ross scoring nine.
