REDDING, Calif. - The College of Idaho dropped three games on the final day of the Simpson Invitational at Big League Dreams Park, falling in 10 innings to British Columbia, 12-10; losing 4-3 in eight innings to Simpson, and dropping a 9-1 decision to Hope International.
Â
The opener saw the Yotes take a 3-1 lead into the seventh inning, but Lindsey Ogilive hit a three-run homer to give UBC the lead. C of I answered in the bottom of the inning, scoring on a passed ball to force extra innings. Each team scored a run in the eighth and ninth frames – the Yotes plating a run in the eighth on a Hailey Chambers ground out, with Kristin Paulazzo scoring in the ninth on a wild pitch. The T-Birds took advantage of two walks and two errors in the tenth to score six, with the Yotes responding with four in the bottom of the frame – but stranded the tying runners in scoring position. Tess Willis was 3-for-5 with two RBI, with Alexis Macias and Katie Rowe adding two hits.Â
Â
Against Simpson, C of I tied the score in the bottom of the seventh inning on a Jodie Hoagland RBI single, but watched as an error led to two runs in the eighth for the Redhawks. Hoagland, Julia Rambo, and Madison Cushing each had two hits for C of I.Â
Â
The late game was all HIU, as the Royals limited the tired Yotes to just five hits. Corie Apodaca was 3-for-4 with four RBI for HIU, as the Royals took advantage of three C of I errors.

C of I returns to action next weekend at the Northwest Cup in Portland.
