LEWISTON, Idaho - Left-hander Garrett Wilson tossed seven innings of four-hit ball, as Lewis-Clark State defeated The College of Idaho, 5-1, at the Guardian Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Tournament at Harris Field.

The No. 8 ranked Warriors (6-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and rode the arm Wilson and Sal Arena to the win over the rival Coyotes. Wilson allowed an unearned run, walked two, and struck out six in the victory.
L-C scored single runs in the first two frames, as Justin Sells and Zach Holley had RBI singles for the hosts. The Warriors took advantage of an error by the Coyotes (2-5) to plate a pair in the third.
The Yotes loaded the bases with two outs in the fifth, thanks to one of five L-C errors and two walks. Nick Muncy hit a swinging bunt down the third-base line that stopped on the chalk to plate a run, cutting the deficit to 4-1. However, Jarel Lewis grounded out to third to end the threat and the Yotes did not have a runner to third the rest of the afternoon.
Holley went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Jacob Cano added three hits in the win for L-C, while Muncy went 2-for-4 for the Yotes. Parker Vernon got the start and went seven innings, allowing nine hits, three earned runs, and three strikeouts.
The Coyotes will play in the third-place game tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. (PT) against Concordia.
