Box Score

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Josh Wilson recorded the first triple-double by a College of Idaho player in over 15 years, as the Coyotes routed The Evergreen State College, 115-78, inside the CRC Gymnasium.

The junior was one of seven Coyotes (10-4, 1-1 CCC) in double-figures, scoring 13 points, adding a season-high 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Since the 2000-01 season, no C of I player had recorded a triple-double – though three Lady Yote players have achieved the feat.

The game was never in doubt, as the Yotes sprinted out to a 21-3 lead in the first five minutes – getting a pair of three-pointers from both Jordan O'Byrne and Taylor Pruett. C of I hit 58-percent of their first half field goals –leading by as many as 28 points in the period and coasting to a 63-39 halftime cushion.

Wilson took over early in the second half, scoring seven points in a 14-4 run that extended the Yotes lead to 80-46, with C of I breaking the century mark for the second time this season on a Zach Peterson jumper with six minutes remaining.

Pruett led the Yotes with 19 points and eight rebounds, with Joe Vaz coming off the bench to score 15 points and add nine boards. Demetrius Perkins had 14 points, Andrew Bruce and Sydney Donaldson each scored 13, with O'Byrne adding 11. C of I made 58-percent of their field goals for the game, including 12 three-point baskets.

The Geoducks (1-6, 0-2) were led by Marc Taylor and Cameron Faison, who each scored 14, while Kyle Calhoun added 13.

The Yotes return to action on Tuesday, traveling to Nampa for an exhibition game vs. Northwest Nazarene – the second half of the United Heritage Insurance Mayors' Cup series.
