Felicity Jones scored 25 in the Yotes win
EUGENE, Ore. – Felicity Jones tied a career-high with 25 points, helping The College of Idaho run their win streak to five games, stopping Northwest Christian, 72-65, inside the Morse Events Center.

Box Score

The No. 22 ranked Lady Yotes (11-5, 7-1 CCC) remain a game back of Eastern Oregon in the Cascade Conference standings, with the two teams meeting with first-place on the line in Caldwell next Friday.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair, as the Beacons (10-8, 3-4) used a 16-4 run to take a 25-20 lead with eight minutes left in the period.  The NCU lead was 31-29 with five minutes left in the half, but a three-point play at the buzzer by Katelin Shannon capped a 12-2 run, as the Yotes led by eight at the break.

The Yotes scored seven quick points early in the second half to balloon the lead to 48-35 lead, extending the margin to 61-47 on a Chakala Carthen lay-up with just over eight minutes remaining.  The Beacons would have one last charge, with a Lindsey Shearer three cutting the deficit to 68-63 with 53 seconds to play, but the Coyotes sealed the game by hitting 4-of-6 free throws.

Jones added six rebounds and four steals in the victory, with Carthen tying a career-high with 20 points.  The C of I had a commanding 34-14 edge in free throw attempts in the win.
