CALDWELL, Idaho – Juan Castillo blasted a 25-yard shot into the top left shelf midway through the first half and the Corban University defense withstood a wild final minute as the Warriors defeated The College of Idaho, 1-0, at Simplot Stadium.

Castillo took a feed from Tyler Hagen in the 29th minute in the center of the field outside the 18 and rocketed a shot into the top corner of the net for the 1-0 lead.
The Warriors (5-5-3, 4-4-2 CCC) nearly had insurance goals in the second half, but the Yotes cleared a pair of Corban shots off the goal line.
In the final minute, the Coyotes (1-9-2, 1-7-0) were awarded a pair of corner kicks – with a Matt Kelly header redirected away by the Warriors defense and a Chenjerai Simpson header with three seconds left missing just wide left.
Steven Mason made three saves for Corban in the shutout win, as the Warriors had a 14-8 edge in total shots, with both teams taking five corner kicks.
