KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Twenty College of Idaho student-athletes were honored as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes during the spring sports season, helping the Yotes establish a new school record for scholar-athletes in an academic year.
Those honored are either a junior or senior in academic standing and have maintained a 3.50 cumulative grade point average at the College (attending at least one full term). The baseball team led the way with five recipients, with men's track recording four.
The spring winners pushed the season total of scholar-athletes to 54 – surpassing the school record of 49 established in 2014 - to go along with a record-setting 126 Academic All-Cascade Conference honors. It is the fifth-straight year with 40-or-more scholar-athletes and the 11th-straight year with at least 30 athletes earning scholar-athlete awards.
