Coyote Football Announces 11-Game 2018 Schedule

CALDWELL, Idaho – Coming off their first winning season since 1969, the College of Idaho has unveiled their 11-game 2018 football schedule – including a new home-and-home rotation and a game against a NCAA Division I squad.

COMPLETE SCHEDULE

The Yotes (6-5 in 2017) head into the new campaign on a three-game win streak and will open the year with games against the three teams they will meet twice – Eastern Oregon, Montana Tech and Southern Oregon.

C of I opens the year with a night game at EOU on Aug. 25 (6 p.m. PDT) – debuting the new artificial turf field at Community Stadium in La Grande.  The two teams will meet again in the Yotes home finale on Oct. 27 at Simplot Stadium (1 p.m.).

The Simplot Stadium home opener is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 1, as Montana Tech heads to Caldwell – a rematch of the wild 64-35 Coyote victory from last November. C of I will make a return visit to Butte on Oct. 13 (1 p.m.) for the Orediggers' Homecoming Game.

The rivalry with Southern Oregon continues in 2018 – as C of I travels to Ashland on Sept. 8 (1 p.m. PDT), with the Raiders, coming off a trip to the NAIA national semifinals, trekking to Caldwell on Oct. 20 (1 p.m.).

The Coyotes will play home Frontier Conference games against Rocky Mountain (Sept. 22, 1 p.m.) and a Homecoming date vs. Carroll College (Oct. 6, 1 p.m.), while playing road league games at Montana Western (Nov. 3, Noon) and at Montana State Northern (Nov. 10, Noon). C of I will have a bye-weekend on Sept. 29.

The lone non-conference game of the season will feature a game at a NCAA Division I opponent – as Big Sky foe Portland State welcomes the Coyotes to Providence Park on Sept. 15 (game time TBA). C of I met their first-ever Division I team last season, losing at Northern Colorado, 41-14.

C of I returns to spring practice next week – culminating with the annual Spring Game set for April 20.
