CCC Basketball Title Games to Air on ROOT Sports

LA GRANDE, Ore. – On back to back nights in February the Cascade Collegiate Conference will take center stage around the Pacific Northwest with the women's and men's basketball tournament championship games carried live on ROOT SPORTS the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced.
 
"We are thrilled to be able to take the branding and marketing of the CCC to the next level by showcasing two of our premier championships to a wide audience in an expansive region," stated conference Commissioner Robert Cashell.
 
On Monday, Feb. 26, the women's championship game will air at 7 p.m. (PT) and then on Tuesday, Feb. 27, the men's championship game will air also at 7 p.m. (PT) Rush Media will be producing the contests for the CCC.
 
ROOT SPORTS is the television home of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders FC, Portland Timbers, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Big Sky Conference and Mountain West Conference. The network reaches approximately 3.2 million households across five states (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska), and delivers more than 350 live events each year – all of which are available in high definition.
 
"We are excited to bring Cascade Collegiate Conference games to fans in the Northwest. They are a great addition to our robust college basketball programming line-up," said ROOT SPORTS General Manager Mark Jorgensen.
 
Fans can use the Channel Finder at rootsports.com for specific channel numbers in their area. ROOT SPORTS is available on cable, as well as, satellite channels throughout the five state area. In addition, ROOT SPORTS will soon be providing a digital platform that subscribers will be able to access. The launch date of the digital platform has not been officially set but hopes are that will be available by the time the CCC championships are being broadcast.
 
The top eight teams based on regular season standings will advance to the tournament with quarterfinals, semis, and the finals set to be held at campus sites. Highest remaining seeds earn the right to host each round.
 
"It was important to me to make sure our broadcasts were held on our campuses and in –line with our format of highest seeds hosting," commented Cashell. "We have great fan support in the CCC and we expect outstanding crowds wherever our championship games will be."
 
The CCC receives two automatic bids to the NAIA National Championships, set for March 7-13. The winner of the regular season title, as well as, the tournament champions each will earn the conference bids. The 2018 women's NAIA championships will be played in Sioux City, Iowa while the 2018 men's NAIA championships will be in Sioux Falls, S.D.
