CALDWELL, Idaho -
Mike Moroski and his College of Idaho football program open up the fall practice schedule on Saturday morning, with 18 practices and two scrimmages set before the 2017 season kicks off at Montana Western.
The Yotes will not have a two-a-day practice schedule this year - following the NCAA mandate that eliminated multiple contact practices during a day. Â C of I will instead have a morning practice and follow it up with a walk-through during the evening to prepare for the next day.
All practices, as they have been in the past, are open to the public.
C of I opens fall camp at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Simplot Stadium - the first of seven consecutive days with a 9 a.m. practice. Â On Aug. 12, the Yotes will hold an intrasquad scrimmage - also at Simplot Stadium - at 9 a.m. - before heading to McCall for a 36-hour retreat.
The schedule changes during the Caldwell Night Rodeo (Aug. 14-18) - as the team will practice on Monday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. and following 9 a.m. practices that Tuesday and Wednesday, shift the schedule to Caldwell High School for a 7 p.m. practice on Thursday, Aug. 17, and culminate the preseason with the Purple and Gold Scrimmage at CHS on Friday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m.
