LA GRANDE, Ore. – For the second-straight week, College of Idaho forward
Aziz Leeks was named Red Lion-Cascade Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league information office.
The senior, from Las Vegas, Nev., averaged a double-double over the Yotes three games, as C of I picked up a rivalry win over Northwest Nazarene and logged road wins over Top-25 foes in Trinity International and Vanguard.
Leeks scored five points and added 10 rebounds in the win over NNU, while scoring a season-high 20 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in the victory over No. 8 ranked TIU. He finished the week with a 12 point, six rebound effort against No. 23 Vanguard.
The forward averaged 12.3 points and 10.7 rebounds in the three games, converting 16-of-26 shots from the field – adding five assists and four blocked shots. He leads the CCC with five double-doubles on the season, with his 16-rebound performance on Friday equaling the top rebound game in the loop this season.
