KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the fourth-straight season, the College of Idaho was ranked in the Top-10 of the Preseason NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Top-25 poll, released by the national office.
C of I opens the season ranked No. 7 for the third time in the last four years (2014, 2016, 2017) - while the 2015 opened the season ranked No. 6. The Yotes received 256 voter points from the 12 conference raters - one of four Cascade Conference teams in the Top-25.
Cornerstone (Mich.) holds the No. 1 spot, followed by defending national champion, Union (Ky.). Saint Francis (Ind.), Bellevue (Neb.) and Northwestern (Iowa) round out the Top-5. Southern Oregon (No. 11), Oregon Tech (No. 16) and Northwest Christian (No. 24) are each in the poll, while Corban received votes.
The Yotes open the 2017-18 season on Friday, hosting the Taco Bell Shoot-Out - opening vs. Northwest Indian College at 7 p.m.
