Moore, Lenhardt Named Preseason NAIA All-Americans

CALDWELL, Idaho – A pair of College of Idaho student-athletes were among the 23 players named to the 2016 Sporting News Preseason NAIA All-America Football Team.

Junior tight end Marcus Lenhardt and senior defensive back Nate Moore were honored by the national publication after earning All-Frontier Conference honors during the 2015 season.

C of I was one of three schools which landed multiple players on the team – as defending NAIA champion, Marian (Ind.) had two selections, as did national quarterfinalist, Saint Xavier (Ill.).

Lenhardt, a two-time All-Frontier Conference tight end, led all NAIA tight ends in receptions, hauling in 40 catches for 573 yards and seven touchdowns.

Moore, who was named to the All-Frontier Conference team and earned first-team All-American accolades, led the Frontier Conference with six interceptions during the 2015 season.

Two other Frontier Conference players were honored – Montana Tech running back Nolan Saraceni and Southern Oregon defensive back Julius Rucker.

The magazine can be purchased at your local newsstand or available for purchase online for $7.99.
