Cisco Limbago

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Cisco Limbago is in his 37th year of coaching tennis for Coyotes and his third as an assistant coach. He is the longest tenured coach on staff and posted an all-time record of 212-200-1 as a head coach.

CHAMPIONSHIPS: Limbago led the Yotes to NAIA District I championships in 1986, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1994 under the individual scoring format, while leading C of I to NAIA Region I runner-up finishes in 2000, 2001, and 2005 under the team scoring format.  His teams competed at the NAIA Championships on eight occasions, including the 1994 season where the Coyotes scored eight team points and Sayori Ogawa advanced to the fourth-round of singles competition.

HONORS: Limbago has coached 22 players who have been honored as NAIA Scholar-Athletes. He was honored in 2017 as with the Meritorious Service Award by the C of I Athletic Hall of Fame.

PRIOR TO C OF I: Along with coaching, Limbago served as an elementary physical education teacher in the Meridian School District.

PERSONAL: A native of Waianae, Hawaii, Limbago is a 1972 graduate of the College.  He was standout football player at the C of I, catching 84 passes for 1,328 yards during his four-year career - with both marks among the Top-10 in the career record book. Limbago also played tennis for the Coyotes. Limbago was a fixture at C of I basketball games, serving as the official scorer for five decades. He and wife Mary Lou have two children; Brandi and Dan.
