AT THE COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Sarah Fajer joined the College of Idaho in July 2024 as the Director of Sports Communication. In this role, she oversees the promotion of all 24 athletic programs, manages gameday operations, handles media relations, coordinates staffing for home athletic events, maintains the athletics website, including updating bios, team schedules, and record books, and trains and manages a rotating group of semester-long interns who assist across all areas.
Since taking over the department’s social media presence, engagement and visibility have grown significantly, including a 55% increase in Instagram followers over her first two years, with a continued focus on elevating student-athletes and their accomplishments. She has also covered two national championship runs, including the 2024 Men’s Cross Country team and the 2024-25 Men’s Basketball team, and has hosted various Conference Championships and NAIA Opening Round competition in women’s soccer, volleyball, football, and men’s basketball.
Fajer actively promotes academic and athletic success stories, including CSC Academic All-District and CSC Academic All-America selections, a CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year honoree, and a student-athlete selected to the NACDA All-State Good Works Team.
BEFORE THE COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Prior to C of I, Fajer served as a Graduate Intern at Concordia University Irvine (CUI), where she was the primary sports information contact for track and field, cross country, and swimming and diving. She also supported the promotion and operations of several of CUI’s other athletic programs, gaining valuable experience in collegiate athletic communications.
PERSONAL: Fajer competed in collegiate track and field for six years, including four years at Concordia University Irvine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Management) and a Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration (MCAA) from CUI. Her passion for athletics and background in sports communications continue to drive her work at the College of Idaho.
