AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO:  2026 marked Jack Sheehan’s 2nd season as the lead assistant and Offensive Coordinator of the College of Idaho Lacrosse team.

Sheehan has helped lead the Yotes offense to be one of the most prolific offenses in the MCLA, averaging 15.67 goals per game in 2026. During his time as offensive coordinator the Yotes have made back to back MCLA Tournament appearances (2025, 2026) including a MCLA National Championship Final Four appearance (2026) and a PNCLL Conference Championship (2026). Sheehan has mentored 4 offensive All-Americans including 2026 PNCLL Offensive Player of the year (Grayson Flatten) and the 2026 PNCLL Freshman of the Year (Trevor Shoopman).

In 2026, Sheehan was an instrumental piece of the MCLA National Coaching Staff of the year. He helped guide the Yotes to a 16-2 record, including a 8-0 record vs teams ranked or receiving votes. During this run C of I claimed their first PNCLL Conference Championship since 2019 and only 3rd in program history. They also made it to the MCLA National Championship Final Four for the first time since 2019 and only second time in program history, knocking off #12 Tampa in the First Round and upsetting #4 Air Force in the Quarterfinals. The Yotes ranked as high as #3 in the national polls throughout the season.

During the Yotes record setting season, Sheehan mentored some of the best offensive players in the county. Including two First Team All-Americans (Wyatt Neu & Grayson Flatten) & Second Team All-American & MCLA point leader (Trevor Shoopman). He also led 4 offensive players to PNCLL All-Conference nods.

In 2025, Sheehan’s first season as Offensive Coordinator, he helped the Yotes reach the MCLA tournament as an At-Large bid for the first time in program history. He was also a vital part of the PNCLL Coaching Staff of the year. He guided one All-American (Paul O’Neill) and 5 PNCLL All-Conference Players.

BEFORE C OF I: Before coming to The College of Idaho, Sheehan spent a year coaching at Green Canyon High School in Logan, Utah. He took over as the Defensive Coordinator for the Green Canyon Boys Lacrosse team in the Fall of 2023 and worked in various coaching positions for Green Canyon. As the Defensive coach, the team averaged only 7.5 goals against per game and made it to the Utah 4A State Semifinal. In the 2024 spring season nine Green Canyon players on the defensive side of the ball earned All-Region awards.

PERSONAL: Sheehan is a native of State College, Pennsylvania and played lacrosse at State College Area High School before graduating in 2017. In college he played four years of NCAA Division III lacrosse at Ferrum College in Virginia. At Ferrum College, Sheehan was a four year starting attackman and two time team captain. He earned multiple All-ODAC and All-State academic honors, including winning the Ferrum College President’s Cup for academic and athletic success. He also played one season on the Ferrum College Football team and was an ODAC All-Conference Placekicker. After college, Sheehan earned a master’s degree in History from Utah State University, and played another two years on the Utah State Men’s Club Lacrosse team MCLA DII. He now coaches with the True Idaho Lacrosse Program.
