Joining the Yote Fam from Boise, ID, Katie Black was raised by Kelly and Angela Black. Aside from her efforts on the court, Katie Black is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Exercise Science. She chose the College of Idaho because of the people, beautiful campus, academics and community support.
2023: Named to the CCC All-Academic Team
2022: Played in 26 matches, starting 18; saw action in 92 sets; fifth on the team with 92 kills and 325 attempts; second on the team with 49 blocks (0.53 blocks per set); averaged 0.93 digs per set; had 55 kills and .101 hitting percentage against conference foes; tallied a season-high 10 kills on 39 attempts in the matchup against MSU-Northern (Aug. 27); had nine kills in a five-set loss to SAGU (Aug. 20); on four occasions, had multiple service aces; had five kills, five digs and five blocks in a narrow loss to Lewis-Clark State (Sept. 10); posted a season-high 12 digs in the four-set loss to national tournament qualifier Eastern Oregon (Oct. 11); had four kills and four blocks against Oregon Tech (Sept. 23); recorded nine kills and six digs against Walla Walla in a four-set win over the Wolves (Oct. 15).
