Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Hawgood is in her fourth year with the Coyote swim and track teams, and her third season with the cross country program; was honored as a member of the Cascade Conference All-Academic Team in cross country and track during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.

SWIMMING: In 2015-16, qualified for the NAIA National Championships in both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events; placed 20th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:35.48) and 22nd in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.96); had a banner 2014-15 season, qualifying for the NAIA National Championships in the 200-yard breaststroke, recording the second-fastest time in program history (2:34.25); also swam in the preliminary heat of the 200-meter medley relay; in 2013-14, swam primarily the breaststroke, recording times of 1:15.56 in the 100 and 2:40.50 in the 200.

CROSS COUNTRY: In 2015, placed 17th at the CCC Championships, while recording a top time of 18:29 at the Inland Empire Classic; competed at the NAIA National Championships, placing 170th; made her cross country debut in 2014, running a season-best 5,000-meter time of 19:17 at the Inland Empire Classic.

TRACK & FIELD: In 2016, earned All-CCC honors by placing third at the CCC Championships in the 10,000-meters (40:57.74); in 2015, recorded career-best times of 5:08 in the 1,500-meters and 19:13 in the 5,000-meters; as a freshman in 2014, had a top 1,500-meter time of 5:26.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Peterhouse SS in Zimbabwe, where she was a member of the cross country, track, swim, tennis, and field hockey teams; competed for the Dorados swim club

PERSONAL: Studying exercise science; daughter of Stoff and Christine Hawgood; is an accomplished triathlete, having completed the grueling Cairns Ironman in June of 2015.
