AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Ruiz is in her fourth season as an women's soccer assistant coach, handling the goalkeepers.
OUTSIDE OF C OF I: Ruiz was an assistant coach for Hastings College in Nebraska during the 2012 and 2013 seasons, helping the Broncos to a Great Plains Athletic Conference championship and a berth into the NAIA national tournament. Since returning to Idaho, she has held various coaching positions in the Treasure Valley - including serving as an assistant for the Capital High girls program, serving as a staff coach for the Boise Nationals, the Boise Timbers/Thorns and currently for the Idaho Rush Soccer Club..
PERSONAL: Ruiz was the starting goalkeeper at Boise State from 2008-11, graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in K-12 physical education. In 2009, she was the starting keeper on the first BSU team to win a conference championship and participate in the NCAA tournament. That season, Ruiz earned All-Western Athletic Conference Tournament team honors and helped the team achieve the most wins in a single season (13). Ruiz has played professionally for the Colorado Force, Seattle Sounders and Emerald City FC in the W-League and WPSL.
