AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Flynn began his current role as head coach in 2020 with his first season with the helm being 2021 for the Coyote men's and women's alpine ski programs. Flynn was promoted from assistant coach which he held the role from 2017 until 2020. He has coached five USCSA All-Americans and helped the 2018 C of I teams sweep the NWCSC team titles, while leading both teams to a second-place finish at the USCSA West Region Championships. His teams have earned USCSA National appearances in 2022, 2023, and 2024 as a head coach as well as 2018, 2019, and 2020 as an assistant coach.
PRIOR TO C OF I: Flynn began his coaching career with Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation in 2008, spending seven years on the Yotes home hill – rising to the ranks of the club’s alpine head coach. Flynn was tasked with coaching the U10-U21 Bogus Basin Ski teamsThe Minnesota native moved to Wyoming, serving as the program director starting in 2015 for the Casper Mountain Racers, before returning to the Treasure Valley in 2017.
PERSONAL: A 2008 graduate of the College, he competed in alpine skiing from 2005-08, earning three All-NWCSC honors.
