Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT C OF I: 

2023-2024 CCC Academic All-Conference, 2022 and 2024 NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, 2022-2023 NAIA Opening round appearance.

HIGH SCHOOL: 

Athletic: 2021 Female Athlete of the Year, 2021 Colusa County Hall of Fame Inductee, 2019-2021 Varsity Softball MVP, 2019-2021 Varsity Softball All-League selection

Academic: 2018-2021 Honor Roll and California Scholarship Federation member

PERSONAL: 

Joining the Yote Fam from Colusa, California, Makayla was raised by Jesse and Becky Frias. Aside from her efforts on the diamond, Makayla is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Business Administration. She chose the College of Idaho because she “felt at home when I came to campus.” She also says, “I loved the coaching staff, the values of the program, and the academic opportunities which made my decision very easy.”
