Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Cushing is in her fourth season with the Coyote softball program.

2016: Played in 16 games as a junior - primarily as a pinch runner; scoring two runs against Menlo College and collected hits versus Concordia (Calif), Oregon Tech and Northwest; finished the season with a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000.

2015: Saw action in 29 games as a sophomore, hitting .268 with two RBI; recorded two multi-hit games, including 2-for-3 efforts against Simpson and Saint Martin's; added four stolen bases.

2014: Played in 30 games as a freshman, hitting .323 with four RBI; had three two-hit games, including a 2-for-3, two RBI game vs. Northwest Nazarene; served as a pinch-runner during the NAIA National Championships, scoring two runs.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Taylorsville High in Utah, where she helped her team to the 5A state tournament as a senior; named an honorable mention All-State selection in 2013; was a three-time All-Region 2 selection; played for the Utah Predators club team.

PERSONAL: Studying environmental studies; parents Drew and Carin Cushing.
