AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Patrick Gonzalez is in his ninth season as an assistant coach for the Coyote softball program, focusing on the development of catchers and the infield. He was part of the 2014 staff that was named the NFCA NAIA West Coaching Staff of the Year.

PRIOR TO C OF I: Gonzalez served for four seasons as the head coach of the Caldwell Silver Streaks American Legion program.

PERSONAL: A native of Ontario, Calif., Gonzalez played two seasons of baseball at the College, earning All-Cascade Conference honors in leading C of I to a third-place finish in the 2002 NAIA World Series - earning NAIA Gold Glove award honors.  He and his wife Sammy live in Caldwell and have three children.
