AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Barclay is in his ninth season as an assistant coach for the Coyote track team, assisting with the development of sprinters. He has coached five Cascade Conference champions (Nichole DeGrange, Jasmine Hurd, Tiana Thomas, Austin Basterrechea, Joseph Bolin) in the sprints and hurdles, with Hurd earning NAIA All-America honors in 2014 and Thomas winning the NAIA outdoor 400-meter hurdle title in 2016.
BEFORE C OF I: A 2006 graduate of the College with a degree in business/accounting, Barclay was an All-CCC competitor for the Coyotes, competing at the 2006 NAIA Indoor National Championships in the Distance Medley Relay and currently is the school record holder in the 400-meters. He also participated on the men’s basketball team for two seasons, helping the Coyotes to back-to-back NAIA Tournament appearances, while swimming one season - earning a Top-20 finish in the 50-freestyle at the NAIA Championships.
PERSONAL: The Boise native currently is the health and fitness coordinator at the Caldwell Family YMCA.
