AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Maryon is in his fourth season as head coach for the men's and women's swimming and diving team. In his first season, he led the women's squad to a fifth-place finish and the men's team to an 11th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships, while in 2020, his men's team finished a school-record fifth at Nationals and the women's squad placed ninth.
HONORS: Has coached five individual All-Americans, 12 relay teams that have earned All-America distinction, 11 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, with diver Nic Carrier winning the 2020 1-meter and 3-meter national titles.
PRIOR TO C OF I: Was head coach at Mountain View High, where he helped his team to a third-place finish at the 2018 5A state championships; spent the 2017 season as an assistant at Borah High. He currently is a fifth-grade teacher at Washington Elementary in Caldwell.
PERSONAL: The Coeur d'Alene native was a four-year letter-winner for the Yotes, qualifying for the NAIA Championships in each of his four seasons. As a junior, he won the consolation final at the NAIA Meet in the 200-yard butterfly and was the school record-holder in both butterfly events, along with swimming a leg on five record-setting relay teams. He graduated from C of I in 2016 with a degree in education.
