Jim Everett

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Jim Everett is in his second season as the head men's and women's swim coach.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: Everett led the Lady Yotes to a seventh-place finish and the Coyotes to a 12th-place finish at the 2017 NAIA National Championships.

HONORS: He has coached one NAIA All-American (Maddy Kelly), one CoSIDA Academic All-American (Mckayla Stevens), along with three NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

PRIOR TO C OF I: Spent 41 years working for the YMCA, including 28 years as the CEO of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA. Under his leadership, membership grew from 3,000 to more than 57,000, with more than 100 million dollars raised in philanthropic support for the Y, including more than six million dollars annuallyprovided in financial assistance to less advantaged youth, families and seniors.  

COACHING HISTORY: Everett was a 10-time Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion, three year co-captain, four year Most Valuable Swimmer and first swimmer inducted into the Albion College Hall of Fame, He served as head swim coach at the Marietta YMCA in Ohio  and the Boise Y Swim teams – taking both programs to Nationals for the first time.  Everett coached multiple athletes who went on to become national champions, including one who was an Olympic Gold medalist and world record holder.Â
