Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT C OF I: 

Broke School record for indoor triple jump freshman year, 2nd all-time for triple jump for outdoors freshman year, 3rd place All-Conference in multis sophomore year

HIGH SCHOOL: 

Athletic: All-state athlete in 3 sports for 3 years, placed in all for 4 events at state all four years, 2x consecutive State Champion in the 4x400, and Team State Champion senior year.

Academic: National Honors Society all four years and graduated with high honors for academics.

PERSONAL: 

Joining the Yote Fam from Weiser, Idaho, Mattie was raised by Dave and Trish Shirts. Aside from her efforts on the track and field, Mattie is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Elementary Education. She chose the College of Idaho because she “instantly loved the environment and coaches.”
