Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Matyus is in his fourth season with the Coyotes.

2014-15: Competed in four tournaments (nine total rounds), recording a 79.4 stroke average; had his season-best round of 73 at the Oregon Tech Invitational.

2013-14: Played in 20 rounds, recording an 80.2 stroke average; carded a season-best round of 73 in a head-to-head dual with Northwest Nazarene; placed ninth at the Border War and tied for 13th-place at the Warner Pacific Invitational, logging a career-best 54-hole score of 230.

2012-13: Played in 21 rounds, ranking second on the team with an 81.7 stroke average; had an outstanding Corban Invitational, finishing in a tie for 11th-place, including a first-round 76

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Soda Springs High, where he was a member of the golf team; helped his squad to the 2010 2A state title and to a second-place finish in the 2011 and 2012 2A State Tournaments, placing ninth individually as a senior; also played basketball as a prep, helping his team to back-to-back District 5 titles; trains at the Oregon Trail Country Club.
