Biography

COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Shenk is in his fourth season with the Coyote ski team, but will miss the season due to injury.

2014: Had a banner junior season, earning USCSA All-America honors with an eighth-place finish at the USCSA National Championships in the giant slalom; took sixth overall in the slalom at the USCSA Western Regionals; named NWCSC Skier of the Year after winning the league individual point title; won five individual NWCSC qualifier titles, including races at 49-Degrees North, Mount Bachelor, and Brundage Mountain; named a USCSA Scholar-Athlete.

2013: Earned All-NWCSC honors by finishing fourth in the NWCSC individual standings, including three second-place finishes; placed seventh in the slalom at the USCSA Western Regionals; named an honorable mention USCSA Scholar-Athlete.

2012: Earned All-NWCSC honors as a freshman by finishing second in the NWCSC individual standings; placed second overall on Day 1 of the Bogus Basin qualifier, while placing third at Alpental and on Day 2 at Bogus Basin; placed ninth at the USCSA Western Regional in the giant slalom.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Skyline High; trains at Snowbird Resort.

PERSONAL: Studying health sciences; son of Stephen and Myra Shenk.
