AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Klassen is in his fourth season with the Coyote swim program; missed the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons serving a church mission.

2019-20: Qualified for the NAIA Championships in three individual events, placing second in the consolation final of the 400-yard IM (4:04.57), fourth in the consolation final of the 200-yard butterfly (1:52.97) and 20th overall in the 200-yard IM (1:55.80); was a part of three All-America relay teams, earning distinction in the 400-yard medley, 400-yard freestyle and 800-yard freestyle events; set the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:10.04) at the Logger Invite.

2018-19: Qualified for the NAIA Championships in three individual events, placing second in the consolation final of the 200-yard butterfly (1:53.03), fifth in the consolation final of the 400-yard IM (4:06.54) and 17th overall in the 200-yard IM (1:57.02); also swam a leg on the 800-yard freestyle relay team.

2015-16: Qualified for the NAIA Championships in three individual events, winning the consolation final in both the 200-fly (1:53.60) and the 400-IM (4:06.58); recorded a top time of 1:56.57 in the 200-IM.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Capital High, where he holds the school record in six different events - including time of 4.14.26 in the 400-yard IM and 52.28 in the 100-yard butterfly; placed second in the 200-yard IM and third in the 500-yard freestyle at the 2013 Idaho High School State Championships; competed for the Boise YMCA swim club.
