TEXARKANA, Texas - The College of Idaho women's tennis team wrapped up its Texas road trip with a spirited performance on Sunday, narrowly falling 4–3 to Texas A&M–Texarkana after a strong start and several hard-fought singles battles.
The Yotes set the tone early by capturing the doubles point with confident play across the lineup. Berkley Klarich and Adele Long continued their excellent chemistry, securing their second doubles win of the weekend to remain unbeaten in Texas. Lina Boylan and Kinsey Lockhart followed with a composed performance of their own, sealing the second victory needed for the doubles point and a 1–0 team lead.
In singles, the Yotes continued to show resilience.
Hristina Ljuba delivered a commanding 6–1, 6–1 win, while Long completed an impressive 2–0 day by grinding out a tough three-set victory. Klarich came within reach of clinching the overall match, pushing her opponent deep into a decisive third set in one of the afternoon's most competitive contests.
Despite the narrow result, the Yotes showcased depth, fight, and momentum as they look ahead to their return home for continued nonconference play.
