Yotes Claim Fourth Consecutive CCC Regular Season Championship With 5-1 Victory Over Evergreen

CALDWELL, Idaho — The No. 20 College of Idaho women's soccer team secured its fourth consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) regular season championship Saturday afternoon, closing out the regular season with a commanding 5-1 victory over The Evergreen State College at Simplot Stadium.

The Yotes (14-3-0, 10-2-0 CCC) controlled the match from the opening whistle, outshooting the Geoducks 37-6 and putting 16 shots on goal. The victory marks the fourth straight season The College of Idaho has claimed the CCC regular season crown, continuing one of the most successful stretches in program history.

The College of Idaho broke through in the 23rd minute when Abbi Roubidoux found the back of the net off an assist from Allison Moultray. The goal was Roubidoux's 11th of the season and gave the Yotes an early advantage.

Shaelyn Olsen doubled the lead in the 35th minute, scoring her fourth goal of the season on an unassisted effort. The Yotes added another just before halftime as Grace Eastman finished an unassisted opportunity in the 44th minute to send The College of Idaho into the break with a 3-0 advantage.

Evergreen (1-10-3, 1-9-2 CCC) got on the scoreboard in the 72nd minute when Rylee Hall scored an unassisted goal to make it 3-1. The Yotes quickly answered, however, as Roubidoux netted her second goal of the afternoon just two minutes later. Morgan Nicoletti provided the assist, marking Roubidoux's 12th goal of the season.

Madison Little capped the scoring in the 79th minute, converting a pass from Alondra Osuna for her second goal of the campaign and the final 5-1 margin.

Roubidoux led the offensive attack with two goals on seven shots, including five on target. Olsen, Eastman and Little each added a goal, while Moultray, Nicoletti and Osuna contributed assists. Osuna also helped pace the Yotes' attack with five shots and a team-high 20 corner kicks as The College of Idaho generated consistent pressure throughout the afternoon.

Defensively, the Yotes limited Evergreen to just six shots, including three on goal. Alivia Brenchley earned the victory in goal, making one save across the opening 60:28 before Alexis Natividad finished the match with one save over the final 29:32.
