WALLA WALLA, Washington - The College of Idaho women's soccer team continued its strong start to the 2025 season with a 3–2 road victory over NCAA Division III opponent Whitman University on Sunday morning. The win moves the Yotes to 2–0 on the year and showcased both offensive firepower and defensive resolve.
All three goals for the Yotes came in the first half, courtesy of forward Abbi Roubidoux, who delivered a clinical hat trick in just over 15 minutes. Her first goal came unassisted in the 8th minute, followed by a composed finish off a pass from Allison Moultray in the 13th, and a third in the 24th minute from a well-placed cross by Gianna Yslava from the left flank.
The Yotes dominated the first half statistically, outshooting the Blues 9–2 and earning five corner kicks to Whitman's two. Goalkeeper Kate Pereur, making her official Yote debut, made two saves in the opening 45 minutes to preserve the shutout heading into halftime.
Whitman responded in the second half with renewed energy, led by Bailey Bell, who scored twice to bring the Blues within one. Her first goal came in the 67th minute off an assist from Kareena Mathew, and she added another in the 78th minute with help from Violet Holme and Kiki Glorioso.
Despite Whitman's late surge, The College of Idaho held firm. The Yotes outshot the Blues 24–8 overall and placed 16 shots on target to Whitman's eight. Whitman's goalkeepers combined for 13 saves, while Pereur and the Yotes defense turned away six shots.
