CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho made quick work of Walla Walla on Thursday night, earning a 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 sweep inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center to avenge a five-set loss to the Wolves earlier this season.
The Yotes (17-9, 11-8 CCC) hit .203 as a team and dominated at the net with 16 total blocks, holding Walla Walla (12-10, 10-9) to a -.010 hitting percentage. Brooke Garman led the attack with 10 kills on a .316 clip, while Abigail Flerchinger added five kills and seven block assists. Alexa Wheeler also hit .750 with three kills and eight blocks.
Setter Shaynee McWilliams paced the offense with 16 assists while Madeline Lee chipped in 11 of her own and two service aces. Libero Kadence Boyd also tallied six digs and an ace.
Sahara Browning posted 10 kills and 13 points to lead Walla Walla, but the Wolves struggled to find rhythm offensively after the opening set.
The Yotes return to action Friday to close the regular season at home, looking to build momentum heading into the Cascade Conference Championships.
