After dropping a series to Oregon Tech, The College of Idaho Yotes bounced back less than 24 hours later with a 6-1 win over British Colombia. The game was rescheduled after it was canceled earlier in the season due to poor weather conditions.
The Yotes and Thunderbirds went scoreless for the first four innings of the game. Kaylee McDaniel opened up the scoring spree for the Yotes after
Lolo Walker drilled a double down the left-field line. Walker was then rewarded for her RBI in the 5
th inning after
Lena Zahniser singled through the left side, bringing Walker to home plate and giving the Yotes a 2-0 lead going into the 6
th. The Yotes went on to add four more runs in the 7
th inning to seal the win for the day.
With today's win, the Yotes (20-7) will now be heading into the CCC tournament as the #3 seed. They look to begin their postseason run against #6 Carroll College on May 3
rd.
