CALDWELL, Idaho - A doubleheader between No. 13 Southern Oregon and No. 20 College of Idaho saw two games decided by two pitches. The first game saw the host Yotes rally from a 6-5 deficit and hit two homeruns in the bottom of the seventh on its way to an 8-6 win. The nightcap had College of Idaho poised for another comeback with the tying run at second before a ground out ended the game as the Raiders prevailed with a 4-3 win.

Game one saw the two teams score twice each in the first inning before SOU went ahead with a run in the second, two more in the fifth and another run in the sixth before the game-winning heroics by the Yotes.

Down 6-2 in the sixth inning, College of Idaho started its comeback with a three-run inning. A pair of RBI singles by Lexi Navarrete and Hallie Holland to go along with a sacrifice fly by Kaylee MacDannald made it a one-run game, 6-5.

Then, in the seventh, Lolo Walker led off the inning with her Cascade Collegiate Conference leading 14th home run of the season to tie the game at 6. Next, Lena Zahniser, the reigning CCC Hitter of the Week, continued the comeback with a single to left field for her second hit of the day. Next, Madelyn Powell ripped an opposite field two-run, walk-off homerun for an 8-6 win for the Yotes. For Powell, it is her sixth home run of the season as the sophomore was mobbed by her teammates as she crossed home.

Powell and Zahniser each had two hits to lead an eight-hit effort by College of Idaho. Ambrie Jones pitched 1.1 innings of shutout relief to raise her record to 5-0.
