Box Score HELENA, Mont. – A six-run fifth inning – that included a two-run home run by
Kaylee MacDannald – led No. 19 College of Idaho to a 11-3 win.
Lena Zahniser had three more hits and scored twice, plus teammate
Hallie Holland also had three hits and three RBI as College of Idaho had five players with multiple hits. MacDannald and
Lexi Navarrete had a pair of RBI.
Annie Polster got the win, pitching 5.1 innings and striking out three.
Three singles in the first, including a pair with two out, tied the game at 1 in the first on an RBI single by
Madelyn Powell. Later in the inning, a two-RBI triple by Navarrete put College of Idaho ahead for the first time on the day.
Carroll cut into the lead on an unearned run in the third inning to make it a 3-2 game in favor of C of I.
Lolo Walker hit her 11
th home run of the season and a RBI single by Holland plated two more runs in the bottom of the sixth for the final margin.
