EUGENE, Ore. – No. 8 College of Idaho completed a weekend sweep of Bushnell, winning both games by identical scores of 10-0. The two wins puts the Yotes above the 40-win mark for the fourth time in program history.
College of Idaho (41-6, 24-5 CCC) took game one on the strength of 13 hits – three from
Lexi Navarrete and two each from
Hattie Hruza,
Tanner Higgins and
Hallie Holland. Hruza drove in four, Navarrete and Higgins each drove in a pair to lead the visitors to the win.
Starting pitcher
Katelyn Wilfert raised her record to 16-3 in the circle, allowing four hits and striking out six in the win.
After a scoreless first two innings, C of I scored five times in the third to take a 5-0 lead. Two came in on a two-RBI single by Hruza. Then, a RBI double by Navarrete in the fourth and a four-run sixth by the Yotes provided the final margin.
The second game saw College of Idaho pick up where it left off with a six-run first inning on its way to a second-consecutive 10-0 win.

Haley Loffer,
Lexi Navarrete,
Kaily Christensen and
Sydney Zachry – each had two hits to lead a College of Idaho attack that had nine hits in the win. Navarrete, Christensen and Zachry also had two RBI.
College of Idaho starting pitcher
Hannah McNerney picked up the shutout and complete game, allowing five hits in the win to improve her record to 20-2. With the 20 wins, McNerney becomes the fourth pitcher in program history to win 20 games in a season.
Next, College of Idaho wraps up the regular season with a doubleheader in La Grande on Tuesday against Eastern Oregon.
