Fast Starts: Through the first three innings, College of Idaho is outscoring its opponents, 70-18 with a 14-3 advantage in the second inning and a 25-3 advantage in the third with 31 of its 155 runs coming in the first inning. The Yotes are 12-0 when they score in the first inning and 16-0 when they score first.
Holdng the Lead: On its way to a 20-2 mark, College of Idaho is 15-0 after leading after four innings, 11-0 after five and 10-0 after six.
Pass the Broom: The four-game sweep of Northwest was the second series sweep of the season for the Yotes, who began Cascade Collegiate Conference play with a four-game sweep of Carroll.
Loffer Leadoff: Leadoff hitter
Haley Loffer ileads the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a 1.017 slugging percentage, home runs with eight runs scored with 33. Plus, she is tn the top 10 in total bases (second, 65), on-base percentage (second, .560), stolen bases (tied for second, 14) and RBI (fourth, 20) and batting average (ninth, .400).
WOW from Wilfert: Pitcher
Katelyn Wilfert has been named the CCC/Rize Laboratory Pitcher of the Week twice on the season. Wilfert leads the CCC with a 0.78 ERA in 72 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .193 against her with 48 strikeouts on her way to a 10-1 mark, plus of the 51 hits she has surrendered just nine have been for extra bases.
How do you do it, Hannah? Hannah McNerney has posted a 9-1 record in 60 innings of work in 10 appearances. McNerney has held batters to a .235 batting average and just 10 extra-base hits.
Okay Kaylee: Kaylee MacDannald leads College of Idaho with a .438 batting average and 28 hits - one of six with at least 20 hits - on the season. She has had six multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games. MacDannald is second on the team with eight stolen bases.
Potent Hattie: Hattie Hruza has 12 extra-base hits on her way to 25 hits for the Yotes. Among her eight extra-base hits are five doubles, four triples and three home runs. She also has made 26 putouts from her center position, including many eye-popping catches.
Freshman Sensation: Freshman left fielder
Madelyn Powell (McMinnville, Ore.) has quickly made an immediate impact for the Yotes with a share of the team lead with eight multi-hit games and is tied for second with five multi-RBI games.
Hot Bats from the Corner: Third baseman
Kaily Christensen is sixth on the team with a .351 batting average and a .393 on-base percentage. First baseman
Tanner Higgins enters the weekend with a .364 batting average with 19 runs scored to go along with 24 hits - two doulbes, two triples and three home runs on her way to a .591 slugging percentage. She is tied for third with Loffer with 24 hits.
Makenna Makin It Happen: Makenna Luke had a pair of RBI singles in the win over Northwest (Mar. 10) for her third multi-RBI game of the season. Luke is hitting .324 on the season with 11 hits with eight RBI.
Double Trouble: Brinley Iverson became the fourth different Yote to have two doubles in the win over Northwest on March 11 as the Yotes hit six doubles against the Eagles. The six are the most since a seven-double effort against Arizona Christian on January 30, 2021.

Moving Up in the Poll: The first in-season top 25 came out on Wednesday after being ranked No. 13 in the preseason, the Yotes moved up to the No. 12 spot. Oregon Tech leads the CCC by jumping two places from the preseason poll to land in the No. 5 spot. Southern Oregon University follows, moving up one spot to be ranked 9th. Eastern Oregon University fell two spots to round out the ranked conference teams but is still holding on in the No. 21 position.
