Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The 16th-ranked College of Idaho women's soccer team recorded their fifth consecutive clean sheet while displaying their offense in a 7-0 win over Providence.
The high scoring duo of
Eden Makaafi and
Natasja Davis each showed why their near the top of the CCC in points as each would score twice in the win. Makaafi scored her first of the game just three and a half minutes in as the Yotes would take a 1-0 lead. Makaafi followed that up again just 18 minutes later, scoring her second of the game in the 22nd minute.
Davis recorded her first of the afternoon in the 36th minute off an assist from
Gianna Yslava as the Yotes took a 3-0 lead over Providence. Davis would score again just six minutes later as the Yotes took a four goal lead into half.
The second half started how the first half ended, as
Gianna Yslava would score just under two minutes into the half as the Yotes extended their lead to five.
Alexis Haws added her name to the score column coming off an assist by
Payton Mongelli for her first of the game.
Maddie Smith rounded out the Yotes scoring, putting the ball in the net in the 67th minute.
The offense was on full display for the Yotes, firing off 31 shots in the win with 20 of them finding the mark.
The Yotes will return to the pitch in the CCC Game of the Week against Carroll in Helena tomorrow.Â
